Plan your meals for the week, redecorate a room, gardening, work a 2 or 3 days per week. I have a storage closet that I would love to attack someday, if you have one maybe you can go through all your old stuff and start throwing it away or donate it.

I'm in the same situation. I don't have to work because husband brings in more than enough money and I feel its important to stay home because of the kids. But I do get extremely bored out of my mind during the day.

I joined a gym and I am currently redoing the entire backyard. I'm doing my own brick work and landscaping. Its a good hobby and I am very proud of it being my own hard work.. It keeps me fit too along with the working out.

I would get a job, even if it is part time.  If I didn't work, I am sure I would go broke shopping. Of course shopping is a way to pass the time, just gets expensive after awhile.

Other ideas would be to volunteer.  You could help out at a retirement home or an animal shelter...all kinds of places need help.  Bonus is all the good karma you get!

Read, exercise, start a garden, write a book.  Tons of things to do.

There are so many things you can actually do.  

Yes, getting a job is one. But not necessary if you don't want to or if you husband does fine.

Workout, start exercising, learn new things -- play tennis, cooking, painting, sewing, a new language.  Brush up on your skills.  There are many things you can do.  Donate your time and your skills, too.  There are lots of places that need people to help out.  You will find great satisfaction in helping others.

I only wish I could stay at home but my circumstances don't allow it.  Trust me, I don't have enough time during the day for all the things I want to do.  I love tennis, swimming, working out and doing small home improvements to my house, be it faux finishing the cabinets, sewing decorative pillows, craft projects, etc... etc..When you find the things you like to do -- you will find that time flies by quickly.

Just make your job as a housewife fun. Give it a 110%, that way everything is exactly the way you want it. Then you can take up a few hobbies. If you have children, begin photographing them and scrapbooking the memories. Take them to the zoo and museums. If you do not have children, scrapbook all of your memorable photos. Work from home.
