  1. He's a disgrace to Pakistan, he's been caught 3 times now, it's obvious from this that he'll never learn, and he's completely sent his talent down the drain. A ban which ends his career should be justified for the hurt that he's put Pakistan fans through. To think that Bob Woolmer had faith in him as a potential star...

  2. I agree with Kookee (and everyone else who has said it). Asif is a disgrace to the game and his country and deserves a lift time ban and nothing less. No legitimate excuse can ever be given for so many failed drugs tests and no amount of leeway should be afforded to a man who continually flouts the rules in such a way as to think he has impunity from punishment.

I wish sporting bodies would take a proper stance over these things, instead they pander to the sports star and punish them as if it were a minor offence, and that's just as much of a disgrace. God only knows what it'll take for them to enforce a life time ban without later rescinding it.

  3. it is really sad in case of cricket, that guy should be banned heavily...

  4. Would this guy ever learn? I think its time he's banned from international cricket. This has to be the final straw. The ICC needs to step in and make sure that Asif is banned. We don't need druggies playing cricket!

But i do feel sorry for him though!

  5. If Asif doesn't get banned now, then what kind of message does that send?

If both samples have tested positive, then how can he believe he's innocent. He's a disgrace to his nation, and the sport.

  6. Well I am deeply upset by this news not for Asif but for IPL. Now people are saying that this is a huge blot on IPL. Well as for Asif I have just bone thing to say to him

WADA isn't playing with his sample B test report. And as for him, he isn't cheating anyone but himself.... he should banned for sumtime and for a long time i hope

pakistan will be missing out on asif's talent but i suppose tht's the only thing tht can be done

if the guy doesn't understand even then then drop him for pakistan cricket

doping is like murder you cant get away with it

when other players are able to play without performance enhancing drugs and when they are able to perform so well i dont understand what asif's problem is.... i mean seriously

either he learns to live the rite way or stops living

the pakistan cricket board better do sumthin otherwise they'll be under the scanner

  7. He's not the first to test positive and I bet he won't be the last either.

    Unfortunately.

  8. I'm not surprised. He should be banned from Cricket, he's a disgrace to his country.

  9. i am sure thats end of his carrer

  10. Mohammed Asif is a waste of a talent, Asif has/had the potential the potential to be this generations Glenn McGrath, but now surely his career is over before it really even took off.

Its a disgrace that Asif & Akhtar both got away with testing positive for Nandrolone in 2006, the PCB went back on there words, and didnt even ban Asif & Akhtar

Asif should be banned for life, he is scum, and he is a disgrace to his nation. This is the 3rd drug problem Asif has had in 3 years, and i guarentee he will have many more.

Harsh action needs to be taken. BAN Asif for life

  11. As i said when this was made public after the IPL it is nothing but a disgrace.Well in-fact he (Asif) is nothing but a disgrace. He has already tarnished the name of Pakistan cricket -back in 2006,and now he has tried to tarnish the name of the IPL..

He should be banned for life, and not just the 2 years he could get...An absolute shame,as Kookee mentioned,he could have been 1 of the best bowlers in the world-Had he stayed clean..

I did expect to hear he has appealed the decission..He thinks he can get off because of the difference between his A and then his B sample. But he is guilty, everyone knows that..

I hope the PCB gives him the appropriate punishment, but he still has to answer to the IPL too...

  12. I think we are all looking at this through rose-tinted glasses. Everyone is condemning Asif, and rightly so, as he has been caught taking a banned substance, and despite the results of the B sample, he is still denying any involvment with drug taking. The man is in complete denial, and will now face an automatic two year ban,

But I think we are all deluding ourselves if we think Asif is a one off. Asif will not be the only cricketer taking performance enhancing drugs. It is rife in many other sports, so why should cricket be any different? Asif is unlucky in that he has got caught, and he will be well aware that there are others just as guilty as he is.

This may be too bitter a pill for many to swallow (no pun intended) but many more cricketers than Asif will be using drugs.

  13. I don't know who you are, but if you are a Indian don't bother about them i.e. about PAK cricketers.

  14. ITs very sad for us Pakis that y hes insist on to take B test.. hes know what he did..........Life time ban

  15. He should be really banned from his cricket career for doing this kind of deed and for bringing disgrace to his country..

  16. The PCB should kick him off the team, he had problems with doping before also

  17. It will be as in Shaoib's case, he will receive no punishment. This team has shown nothing but arrogance & have flouted the laws of cricket shamefully. I wonder what the great Imran thinks of his once honourable team? I feel for him!

  18. If he ate salt he should drink water.

  19. He should be banned.
