Asisola tipped to win Cearnsport Grand National - Heat 3
Asisola has got a great chance of winning the Cearnsport Grand National - Heat 3 at Sittingbourne in England on Sunday, August 5, 2012. A victory in the Grade OR event will earn him a cash prize of £150 in the end.
There will be a stern test of all greyhounds participating in this race, as they will have to compete over hurdles in the 480 metres event, which will start at 18:57 GMT. A little mistake could prove to be extremely costly, thus they will have to be careful.
Such events are always exciting for the spectators, but they put a lot of pressure on the participants. However, all greyhounds are fully capable of coping up with the pressure, as they have been trained for it.
Looking at the records of all participants in this race, it is pretty much clear that no one has a big advantage over the other, which will spice up the competition to a great extent. However, there is a chance for Asisola to make a solid impression today,
thus he has been given a general starting price of 3 to 1 by the bookmakers. His recent performances over hurdles have been good, which will encourage the punters to risk money on him.
The J. Simpson’s trainee first appeared onto the scene in March 2010 and took part in a couple of solo runs back then. He displayed very good stamina in them, but took some time before carrying this form in competitive racing.
Asisola’s first victory came in a Grade A3 event, where he was not rated as the favourite to succeed. Despite that, he put up a solid show and stormed to the top of the table by a comfortable margin of six lengths.
Although this performance proved that the black hound was capable of winning races, yet he kept on struggling for consistency throughout his career. Things have changed a bit for him in recent times and he seems to enjoy running over hurdles, which is a
positive sign for his team.
Head Bound’s son out of Ballymac Bargain was victorious in his previous two races over hurdles, thus he is in very good form. He will definitely fight at the front today.
