Asking a girl to prom?

Hi im a shy guy and i i want to take this girl to prom. I have spoken to her a lil but not much. she is in to of my classes. Im a junior and she is a softmore so she cant go unless some one askes her. What is a nice way to ask her that is origional and that is not in a letter form. thank you. Im also nervius about her saying no.

Take a deep breath, go up to her after class and start talking to her about an assigment or whatever.  Then ask her if anyone has asked her to the prom.  If she says no, ask her if she'd like to go with you.  If she says someone already has, just say, "Oh, that's good" and leave it at that.

Don't be too scared to ask because someone may beat you to it and then you'll be home on prom night.  The worst she can do is say no and you won't be any worse off than you are now.

go up to her and say "if I asked you to go to the prom what would you say" you'll have a 50/50 chance she'll say yes if she says I don't know then say well then I'm asking.
