  1. Err...why not just call PF and ask them??

I don't 'get' why you need the answers though in order to help your son. Surely, as his mum, your job is to encourage and support him, not to do his lessons for him.

And, as I said to you last night in your original question, handing out exam answers to anyone (even if anyone here, apart from Penn Foster, actually had the answers!) is not something many mothers would ever consider doing, leave alone do (not the sane ones that care about their children and their education and their future anyway).

I also don't understand why on earth, if you are this lad's parent, you are bothering to pay PF to educate your son if you're just going to undermine everything you're paying for by telling him the answers. That's a waste of your money and his time. For his sake (and his confidence, self esteem, self respect and his future!) you should take a step back and let him learn to study for himself.

How do you expect him to learn anything worthwhile when he finishes school only capable of writing what you tell him to write?

And how do you think he'll feel (about you, about his education, about himself) a few years down the track when he realises that, thanks to you and your probably well-meant attempts to 'help' him, his qualifications and high school diploma aren't worth the paper they're written on?

Janis, I'm assuming PF = Penn Foster. They look like Penn Foster numbers to me. Oh, and we all know there seems to be only one school that has this problem with its clientele.

(I assumed the original question was yet *another* Penn Foster kid wanting the answers).

  2. Since you are paying for this education, just call them and tell them you want the answers to their exams. (and be sure to listen carefully to their answer!!)

But you will have to work on your reasoning:

Public and private school teachers DO have answer keys, but they do not use them to give their students the right answers, nor to make sure they "got them all right" before turning them in, or for any of the other reasons student/parents use to try to talk people in to giving them the answers.

Homeschool parents that are in control of their children's education also have answer keys, but they do not use them in that way either. Homeschool parents that choose to use tests make sure their children know the material BEFORE taking an exam, so providing them with answers is completely unnecessary.

    Something to consider:

When you choose to enroll your child in an umbrella school, you are not the teacher, you are a facilitator with the job of making sure he/she reaches their goals.

    And something to ask yourself:

why are you "giving him answers"

as a parent it is not your job to do this FOR him. You've been to school, now it is his turn.

  3. Are these really for your son?

In case you have not noticed, Penn Foster has been monitoring answer key requests here on Yahoo!Answers.  I'm surprised they have not yet posted a reply to you.

  4. Um, woah, just a second:

You are helping your son cheat????

Penn Foster is a distance learning provider. They are not going to sell their exam keys, understandably. The whole point is to do the exam and send it in and have the teacher mark it.

  5. According to the link given by ysn, you are 17 years old with a son in Penn Foster.....amazing.

Stop trying to cheat and look up the answers in the book, it IS an open book test for heavens sake!

  6. What is PF?  We homeschool but never heard of exams 009404000, 09403800, 09403700, 09403600, 09403500, and 09403900.

I am nice, but just do not understand the question.

My theory on education may fit here rather well:

An education is more important than a diploma.

  7. Hon, you're a 17yo student.  You were working about 6 months ago to bring Roswell back to TV, and apparently Charlotte Rousse sales are the "freakin bomb diggity".  Have you not figured out that Y!A keeps a record of your questions and answers for other members to see?

Stop cheating, do your own work, and earn your own diploma.  Now.
