Asking for a client to place your name in a website you have translated for him?

Have you ever seen a commercial website where the name of the translator (who did paid translation, not volunteer) is placed in every page of or somewhere on the web site? Is that an acceptable practice that a translator requires its name to appear in the website he's just translated? I ask because of I have never seen a case like this. What do you think?

The translator's name only appears when the text that was translated is copyrighted. This, only to verify that the translation was made by a professional.
