Is that legal?

If someone was to send them a letter via the US Postal Service asking for money, could they take any legal actions?

  1. You are doing no harm.  The address is public information an you can ask anything you want.  Whether or not they will answer is completely up to them, though.  If, however, you make threatening remarks or insinuations, you could find yourself in a boatload of trouble.

How much junk mail do you get on a daily basis?  Same concept - strangers asking strangers for money.

  2. write a short story.

  3. There is nothing illegal about it unless you are trying to scam them someway.  However don't expect any responses.  Wealthy people are usually pretty tied into their own charities and foundations.  Good Luck.

  4. yeah! hahaha thats funny and it should be legal as long as you dont lie.

try it! let me know if it works!

  5. I dont see why not...

  6. It is legal, Oprah gets millions of letters every month from people asking for money.  But, don't expect too many responses.  For one, it may not get read by the intended recipient because estate managers usually handle that.  And, most "rich people" have money managers and a third party who makes payment decisions particularly from unsolicited sources.

  7. ..it might be an invasion of privacy based on  how you get their information
