Asking to talk to prof about their research?

...I now finally have the guts to contact her. I thing that most worries me is she probably won't know who i am. I'm probably gonna email her. How should it go?

Just introduce your self and tell her you took her class a while back. Explain you are interested in the research paper she did and would like to talk to her about it. She will not think you are weird, she will appreciate that you appreciate her work. She may or may not have time to talk to you, but I am sure she will do her best to accommodate you.

I would do it why not? The worse thing she can do is say no. DO IT!!!!!!! And let us know
