Asma settle and argument ?

Me and my friend were talking about potential jobs and chef came up.I told my friend Philip that I could not work in a kitchen with all the steam and the heat and everything else going on I would not be able to do with my Asama.Philip reckons different the steam would be good for me and I could work in a kitchen.

So what is true could or couldn't I work in a kitchen

  1. It depends on your asthma and on your age and complications. If you are older, a smoker then steam from heavy cooking and or from taking a shower can make you feel weak and even dizzy. If you are generally younger probably no effect. In the past years steam from using vicks vapor rub and eucalyptus oil was used by people to relieve congestion.


  2. no the steam is good for you. when you have an asthma attack or feel congested it helps to run steaming water in your sink, put a towel over your head and breath the steam in.

The steam would be good for you, but there will also be smoke in varying amounts, which can be irritating.  The problem is that with asthma you tend to have a chronic cough, to the point where you cough without even thinking about it, and that could cause you to lose your job since they can't have their chefs coughing on the food.
