  2. you will be fine. I would quit eating light though. We now know that the aspartame was what caused me to have gestational diabetes so steer clear. It cleared up the minute i quit drinking the minute maid light. i drank it every day up until 30 weeks last pregnancy and was on insulin. three weeks after i stopped drinking it i was off of insulin.

  3. Anything that is sugar free contains Aspartame.  Don't worry about the lite stuff!!!  lol...you are pregnant...you are entitled to brownies and ice cream sundaes! (unless you are diabetic).  But, just stay away from it, as much as you can.  Read this article :http://www.aspartame.com/lydon.htm

  4. Aspartame is aspartame and it doesn't matter what it is in.

In most studies they say aspartame is safe

What is of the most concern is Saccharin which should be avoided.

I drank some diet soda in my first trimester and everything is fine.

  5. Aspartame in normal daily doses is fine.

Just so you know, most (not all) diet soda is now sweetened with Splenda, which is not the same as aspartame and is also considered safe if used in normal amounts.

  6. You can drink diet soda in moderation  They still aren't sure of the complications from artificial sweeteners but if you notice it is just about everything we eat and drink anymore.  I would go with regular yogurt for the remainder of the pregnancy if you are worried, that is what I did because I didn't want the artificial stuff.  I even try to avoid Splenda but it is hard because things you wouldn't think has it does.  The OBGYN told me that some artificial sweetener isn't going to do any damage and just like with many other things they don't know how much it would take to really do damage.  I use to have a book that had all the stuff to avoid in it and the list was like 3 pages long small print lol boy that may grocery shopping fun.  Now I just try to watch the sugar including artificial sweeteners, red-dye, caffeine and MSG

  7. It's ok, alot of women drink diet sodas throughout their pregnancies and their babies come out fine. If you would rather, you can switch to the all natural yogurt.

  8. What Aspartame is made from turns into formaldehyde at a certain temp.  Your body temp is above this temp.  There have been many instances where people have been diagnosed with MLS only to find out that they needed to stop consuming Aspartame.  I am familiar with some strange symptoms myself.  I was getting bad stomach cramps and after I stopped drinking diet soda they went away and have not had any problems since.  That was several years ago.  I will not have anything with it as an ingredient.  I didn't realize at the time that it was Aspartame causing the cramps until I read a story about a lady that started in the same manner.  She eventually ended up in a wheel chair.  When she stopped drinking diet soda she became well.
