  1. My son has Autism. He's in a public school. We have had a good experience so far. I know it's crazy, but no-every school district is the same when they have to give EIP. If your are not happy with his school, you should try to document every "pitfall" that his school has. Look for a lawyer or advocate (there are some free advocate) & try to get your son the rigth education he needs. Don't say never the best education for him, you have to used the word "proper education"  for him... Get a periodical meeting with your school district to set your son's goal in education, therapies, and/or individual tutors. Check if he is getting every thing the school district officials tell you your son would have & acomplich. If your son isn't improving or isn't getting all of service, you may win a case. So, the school district would have to pay for your son's  proper education in the rigth school. public or private....

  2. Hiyer,,

I Myself Have Aspergers (autism, autistic spectrum disorder), And Im Age 13,

And Well My Experience Hasn't Been Very Good At All,

At Age 9 In My Primary, I Got Bullied So Bad That I Tried To Take My Own Life,

I Got Called Countless Names And I Hated It,

The Teachers Are Pretty Much Usless, And They Don't Take Into Account How Our Heads Work,And How We View Things Different To Others,And That Autism Is A Classified Learning Disorder And We May Need Things Explaining More Than Once, Or In A Very Simple And Specific Way Before We Even Scratch The Surface Of What They Are Trying Explain/Show To Us.

Try Searching For A Special Needs School In Your Area, If You Get A Statement From The Education Officers & Doctors That Your Son Has Autism They HAVE To Give Him A Place. Here In Middlesbrough/North East England Where Im Living At The Moment There Is A School Especially For Kids With Autism & ADHD, Beverly School Children Ages

3-19, I Have Tried To Go But My Autism Isnt Bad Enough So I Decided That I Would Just Cope In School And Give Someone Who Really Needed It A Place.

My Boyfriend Who Is 17, Goes To Beverly School After Having Same/Worse Problems In Primary And He Has Got On And Exceled Immensely Since Going.

There Is No Need For Private Schools Unless Its A Special Needs One. It Will Just Turn Out A Waste Of Money And The Kids Will Probably Just Turn Out The Same.

I Hope I Have Somewhat Helped You With This x
