My 8 year old son chipped a tooth today while i was at work, and his dad gave him an 81 mg chewable bayer baby asprin. I keep think Reye syndrom and im a bit uneasy at the moment. Everything i read says something about "after a illness or chicken pox". Should i still be panicked over 1 asprin w/o illness. I need advise i cant even sleep, i worry alot.

  1. im thirteen and not a genius or anything.

but to help you feel less ineasy, there is probably not a problem i used to take asprin too and im fine.

just look out to see if he has a fever or anything.

    there shouldnt be anything wrong.

  2. He should be fine.  No need to worry unless he has been sick.  And you had no mention of that in your question.

  3. Unles he has the pox or the flu. he will be just fine :-)

  4. i am a single father of two. I have been told by more than one doc. to use tylenol.

  5. (i'm a mom of 2)  because it was a baby aspirin, he will probably be o.k. just be careful of anything with acetominaphin(sp??) or aspirin.
