Asrock Motherboard problems with SATA HDD

Question

Hi,

i have Asrock P4V88, Socket 478, Chipset VIA PT880,
Celeron 2,8GHz
512Mb 400Mhz DDR RAM

i have tried to install a new SATA HDD, but even the BIOS did not recognized it. (Samsung HD322HJ) - SATA, 30Gb

(The HDD works because i have formatted it in another PC.)
ATA is working properly.

please help me what i have to do to work.
