Assalt charges?

yesturday me and my friend were walking around our apartments when a couple of people were punching my friend then they ran and i called the cops and they were going to look for them today so we were going to press charges about how much money will we get?

You could sue for any medical bills that were incurred due to the assault.  Other than that you don't get jack.  Just let the court do its job.

U dont get any money at all. This is a criminal matter not  civil matter. The pressing charges portion is to put them in jail.

If you want money like damages for medicl bills and all of that you would have to file a case under the Civil Court. And if the person who did the beating has no money you wont get anything you cant sue someone for what they dont have.

the only way you will get what they call restatution is either the courts make them pay it after a they are found or plead guilty, or you sue them for medical bills or pain and suffering.

I dont think you will get any money off of that. Unless you sue them for damages.
