Assassin’s Creed: Lineage gets a release date, Sonic Generations listed by UK retailers
Many fans may have their sights set on a copy of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations come the game's release, but the more hardcore bunch will also be looking forward to bag themselves an Assassin’s Creed: Lineage around that time as well.
Assassin’s Creed: Lineage was originally released as a mini web-series on the popular video broadcasting site, YouTube, and consisted of four episodes. The web-series was uploaded by Ubisoft via their own YouTube channel and gained instant popularity among
the fans.
Using a mixture of live action and real life characters, with the backgrounds computer generated, the four part miniseries was able to replicate the Assassin’s Creed atmosphere very accurately.
However, it turns out the miniseries was just the beginning as Assassin’s Creed: Lineage is set to hit Blu-Ray and DVD formats for a release this holiday season.
Based around Ezio Auditore’s father, Giovanni Auditore da Firenze, Lineage is a pre-quel to the second Assassin’s Creed game. Giovanni apparently discovers a conspiracy which turns the church against him and his family.
The implications of which can be found at the start of Assassin’s Creed II. Knowing the talent which Ubisoft has working on the Assassin’s Creed series, especially the writers, Lineage seems like it is definitely worth a look.
Assassin’s Creed: Lineage is releasing on the 15th of November later this year and includes a number of extra features including Developer Diaries and trailers, which are pretty much standard. However the two things that make it worth a purchase
are the Making of featurette as well as the Assassin’s Creed: Ascendance animated short film.
No price has been announced by either New Video or Ubisoft, but Bettor.com will keep the reader posted of any new developments.
Moving away from the world of assassin’s and their hidden blades to gaming legend known for his own ‘spiky’ and sharp in his own right.
Sonic, the only blue coloured Hedgehog in the world is set to hit the United Kingdom with the release of Sonic Generations. The official announcement has not been made by either the games developer or publisher, SEGA.
The source is one that is becoming a regular in the gaming world: retail listings. Usually a game that has not been announced can be found listed on popular retail sites like Amazon.com or Best Buy. It was through these that it was discovered that Robin
will be appearing in Batman: Arkham City and that GTA V might be out sooner than one thinks.
This time however, it does not seem to be a secret as United Kingdom video game retailer GAME, listed Sonic Generations Special Edition on its site. Seeing how it is still there only helps confirm the validity.
Gamers in the UK can get their hands on the game for £39.99.
