Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Rabbids and Just Dance 3 confirmed for Comic-Con 2011 by Ubisoft
Comic-Con 2011 is just around the corner and the event has strong attendance and participation from members of the video game industry. To back that claim up, Ubisoft have announced their line up for the event, highlighting titles such as Assassin’s Creed:
Revelations, Rabbids, Alive and Kicking and Just Dance, all of which will be present.
However, there will be lack of Assassin’s Creed ‘video game’ at the convention, which is aimed, as the title suggests, more towards the comic book side of things.
Assassin’s Creed should have no problem there, with a host of graphic novels already doing the rounds and a short series to boot.
According to Ubisoft, the game’s developer, the majority of its focus will be on Assassin’s Creed, with Ubisoft setting up a panel just for the franchise.
The panel will consist of the writers who have worked on/are working on the latest installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise and will be answering any queries and questions, which those who are fortunate enough to attend may have.
The panel has been dubbed ‘Assassin’s Creed: The Creation of the Universe’. While the title itself is explanatory not many games will be familiar with how panels work at Comic-Con. Bettor.com has you covered, basically a group of members who work on a project,
be it video games or graphic novels or comic books, will be present and form a ‘panel’.
The audience can them ask them questions about their work, where they are taking the project, what were there inspirations and the like. It is a great platform for fans of the series to gain intimate knowledge about the alternate universes they have come
to love.
Ubisoft explained just what its panel was hoping to achieve at Comic-Con as the developer stated, “The panel will explore how the Ubisoft Montreal development team has created the Assassin's Creed universe, which weaves real world history and global conspiracies
into an ancient war between Assassins and Templars across a variety of media.”
While that was interesting enough on its own, Ubisoft had something special in store for those who plan on attending ‘The Creation of the Universe’ panel. As they explained, “Attendees will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at how Ezio's final journey
will unfold as he walks in the footsteps of his legendary mentor, Altair, on a perilous journey of doubt and discovery.”
Also those attending would also get an “exclusive preview” of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Embers, which is an animated short film.
All in all, panel sounds intriguing and is a way gamers can get a better understanding at how things work behind-the-scenes of one of gaming’s most historically rich titles.
