Assassins Creed: Revelations: Bettor.com’s Guide to Video Games for the Holiday Season – Part 2
http://www.senore.com/Uncharted-3-Drakes-Deception-Bettor-coms-Guide-to-Video-Games-for-the-Holiday-Season-Part-1-a82570 is a no-brainer for anyone
who owns a PlayStation 3 console, however that does not mean that other developers will let Naughty Dog go unanswered in the fiercely competitive period that is the Holiday Season.
Bigger than what the summer is for Hollywood, with every big name in the film industry looking for a slice of the huge revenues generated during that period, the holiday season is where the majority of the triple A titles look to generate huge amounts of
revenue with their respective titles.
While other games look to shoot, drive or humour their way to the top of the charts, there is one game which is looking to climb the highest viewpoint, crouch on a ledge in order to synchronize itself to the surroundings before diving gracefully into a conveniently
placed bale of hay.
Assassins Creed: Revelations
The line, ‘You had me at hello,’ perfectly describes the effect Assassins Creed: Revelations had on anyone who witnessed the spectacle that was the cinematic trailer for the game at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
Known for its awe inspiring trailers, a trend which dates back to the first game, the trailer shown at E3 was on a completely different level.
The trailer showed Ezio Auditore, the protagonist for the previous two games, sailing across stormy oceans, climbing the highest, ragged snow covered peaks and revisiting the ancestral home of the Creed, but it also showed an incredible fight sequence and
left everyone with a cliff hanger of an ending, literally. All the while with one of the smoothest soundtracks one will ever hear in a game trailer.
Woodkid, the artist behind the song Iron, which was used in the trailer by Ubisoft, went on to gain a legion of hooded fans.
Yet, with no actual gameplay footage, one has to wonder if the game is worth buying. After all, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood pretty much perfected the gameplay and control system and even added a unique and addictive multiplayer experience in the process.
So what will Revelations offer that will entice gamers to sacrifice other stellar titles for a game similar to the one they have already played.
First off, Bettor.com would like to ask those who actually thought of that question as a serious one, if their heads have been screwed on the right way.
The combat, platforming and multiplayer in the previous game was near perfect and apparently a new dynamic is being added, dubbed the hookblade which can be used for a number of cool moves including zip lining across the city(s) or pulling enemies closer
for some Creed styled brutal takedowns.
Apart from that, another reason would be an enhanced multiplayer experience with a number of new modes, including talk of story based mode as well.
While all of that is enticing enough, there is more. Ezio Auditore and Altair, the protagonist from the first game, will both feature in the game, which is set to end both the character’s storyline. Desmond, the modern day protagonist, is also set to feature
heavily in Revelations, which is set to answer all the confusing and mind bending question each game has left the gamer pondering over.
Bettor.com advises that the player can leave this game on standby, as it does not have too wide a multiplayer audience and its emphasis is on the single player campaign, which can be picked up and played at any time.
However, if the reader cannot wait to find out how another chapter in the Assassins Creed saga will end, then pre-ordering the title would be a wise decision. No one wants a fight for their lives come the game’s release date and hidden blades will not be
of too much help come that time.
