Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Saints Row: The Third enter the Xbox 360 sales chart in the UK
Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 may be smashing all the sales records known to mankind, yet the recent week also saw huge launches for the likes of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and THQ’s Saints Row: The Third.
Here is the United Kingdom’s Xbox 360 sales chart for the previous week:
10. Kinect Sports: Season Two: the only Kinect game on the charts, Kinect Sports: Season Two, is set to bow out of the top ten of the charts as another week of weakening sales has it hanging on the edge of the more prestigious positions.
9. Need for Speed: The Run: one of two racing games on this week’s charts, The Run takes the Need For Speed series down a different path than what the racing game has become known for. However, it seems that the path is not one that many
gamers seem to be enjoying all too much as settles in at the number nine spot.
8. Forza Motorsport 4: the second racing game in the charts is perhaps the better one. With near photorealistic car models and the trademark gameplay that has made Forza Motorsport one of the major franchises for the Xbox 360, it is on fitting
that the game is still in the charts.
7. FIFA 12: the international break may have had something to do with FIFA 12’s sales continuing on their impressive trajectory, though that is just mere speculation on our part. Yet, whatever it is, EA Sports’ latest installment in the
long running series is doing rather well.
6. Battlefield 3: it may not be number one in the charts anymore, but it is still earning a fair slice of the revenue cake for its publisher, Electronic Arts. With a number of DLCs set to be released in the coming months one can expect the
sales figures to keep the modern military first-person shooter in the charts for some time to come.
5. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary: Xbox fans are known to have a soft spot for everything that has anything to do with Halo and the sales figures for the Combat Evolved Anniversary edition prove that.
4. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: it comes as a bit of a surprise for a game such as Skyrim to be outside the top three, yet here we are as the dragon infested role playing game settles in a number four.
3. Saints Row: The Third: one of the wackiest open world sandbox games to have come out in recent weeks, Saints Row: The Third debuts on the number three spot.
2. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations & 1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3:
not even master assassin, Ezio Auditore could knock Modern Warfare 3 off the charts as the latter dominates the charts once again. We would say we were surprised, but then we would be lying.
