Assassin’s Creed Revelations fails to make an impact in the PC Charts, delay could be reason
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations may be the final chapter in Ezio Auditore de Firenze’s trilogy in the Assassin’s Creed universe, however, its PC SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) sales have not lived up to the hype which surrounded its console cousins.
Here is the PC software sales chart for the previous week:
10. The Sims 3: Late Night: The Sims games and their respective expansion packs come part and parcel with the PC sales charts and be it from a lack of choice in terms of other titles or the addictive gameplay of the Sims games, it seems
that expansion packs such as ‘Late Night’ will be in the charts for the foreseeable future.
9. The Sims 3: Generations: Another Sims expansion pack in the charts for yet another week, why is no one surprised? We are not complaining though, at least the abomination that is Zumba Fitness is nowhere to be seen.
8. Batman: Arkham City: The game that was delayed and missed the hype boat as a result of it still struggles in the PC charts, mostly because the caped crusader seems to be having issues with DirectX 11, his latest foe. Rocksteady are still
working on a fix for the problem, but one has to wonder what they were doing during the delay.
7. Battlefield 3: A solid first-person shooter, though the single-player campaign feels more like a ride than an experience, the multiplayer more than makes up for it. One can expect the sales to shoot up a bit when the next round of Downloadable
Content is released.
6. The Sims 3: the game that gave birth to all the Sims 3 expansion packs is still doing the business at the charts, though for once it is outside the top five places.
5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: the best selling franchise in recent history, Modern Warfare 3 may be dominating charts all over the world yet the PC charts are not something that Activision’s first-person shooter seems able to dominate.
4. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations: a top three position in its debut week would be something that almost everyone would have expected, yet it seems that Revelations has not lived up to the hype surrounding its release on PCs, though that
could just be because everyone’s already  played it on their consoles.
3. The Sims 3: Pets: giving gamers the chance to urinate and defecate wherever they want to, Pets seemed a sure-shot to stay in the top three for yet another week.
2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: doing the business where it belongs, Skyrim is quenching the RPG thirst that PC gamers seem to have on them all the time.
1. Football Manager 2012: It is the United Kingdom! Of course a football game would be at the top!
