Assassins creed for the ds?

Question

im in the sewers with the chalice and for those of u that don't know im spoiling it the chalice is a female human. now i have to find a way to get to her but this waterfall is in the way and i don't know how to get passed it. now i can't climb the wall cuz when i jump towards it i fall in the water and die so what do i need to do to get passed the water fall and get to the girl
