Question:

Assess this situation?

I went to hang out with my friends' friends in an area I wasnt familiar with.

It was quite late, and everyone was getting really drunk and high, and being loud (outside, at 3 O'clock in the morning), and I was worried about the police coming.

A few days later, my friend says that was irrational and wouldnt happen, because around 11 the same night, some people down the street got into a loud, short argument.

Was my nervousness justified, or is he right in saying I should have used common sense and realized that if cops werent coming for an argument at 11 O'clock, they werent going to come for people being loud outside at 3?

  1. Your nervousness is fully justified. There is no logic which says that cops cannot turn up at 3. It is just luck or bad luck, even unlikely events do happen, and it is unpleasant messing with the cops at 11 or at 3.

  2. i think you had every right to be worried because getting high is illegal and if police did come then everyone would have to talk to the police regardless of who was actually doing the drugs. always trust your instinct and if situations like this come up again, get out of there or make sure the police have know reason to come bashing on the door.

ignore your friend because he is the one being irrational. the police could have come at any time and he should not put you down for being responsible.

    hope i helped! =]
