It is our sense of morality that forms the basis for ethics. When we make everyday decisions about what is the correct, ethical thing to do, we rely upon the moral principles which we have been developing all of our lives.

Morality is neither discovered nor invented. Man is born with certain restraints built into his Psyche; we KNOW it is wrong to hurt another person. We somehow understand authority, Mom, Dad, elders must be listened to. So, I conclude that rather than discovered or invented morality is developed. Existence in a commonwealth actually requires that most of us have a well developed moral sense, which, when we are adults we consider to be an ethical sense.
