Question:

Assistance in Cook County IL?

I work with a 73 year old woman who is currently still working to provide medical insurance from her slightly mentally handicapped daughter who is in her early 40’s. They live in Cook County, Illinois. She claims there is no assistance for her daughter because she is not considered disabled and is capable of working. Her daughter has been working part time at their local public library for 16 years. She does not work full time so she is not entitled to their benefits and will probably never be promoted to full time or offered insurance. The woman I work with is worried about what is going to happen to her daughter when she is unable to work and is unable to provide medical insurance for her daughter. I believe there has to be some kind of program that would be able to help her daughter. She claims she has done everything she can but has not found any assistance because her daughter is not actually disabled. Can anyone help?

  1. if she applied for social security benefits and was denied there are lawyers who'll help her.  It sounds like this lady needs a good lawyer who'll fight for her but it seems like she's on a limited salary.  Try these places and God bless...
