I am looking to become a commercial airline pilot, but i do not have

the funds required to cover the training costs. i want to avoid

getting a loan from the bank because of the high interest rates. i

have looked almost everywhere on the internet looking for a commercial

airline that offers a pilot sponsorship that pays for all the training

and in return i work for them for a certain amount of years, slowly

paying them back. I do know that these sponsorships exist and a lot of

airlines have stopped them recently, but there are some airlines that

still do them. Which ones do? and how do i apply? Are there any pilot

training companies that offer a similar sponsorship? if so which ones?

and gow do i apply?! i do not mind being based in another country if

required for the training. i am 18 years of age, i have just finished

my A-levels, so i beleivce this is the right time for me to apply. I

hope that you can give me some good advice and point me in the right

direction for becoming a commer

  1. You are in the wrong category.  "Special Education" refers the education of people who have disabilities.

  2. If free pilot training was available, people wouldn't bother spending tons of money to become licensed and get all their ratings.

To my knowledge, there is no airline that would take a "trainee" who doesn't have lots of multi-engine time. Even then, they are "interns" and don't get paid and are not guaranteed a job when finished with said internship.

Most of the pilots I know have a bachelor's degree in aeronautical science and joined either the navy or the air force to get the flight hours demanded by airlines prior to hire. Once they get their wings, their committment is 8 years.

Starting salary for a first officer (co-pilot) with a regional airline runs about $35,000 per year, at best. Some pilots never make it to the major airlines; if they get there, it takes YEARS until they make captain.

Good luck. You may have to re-examine your career goals.
