I.e., isn't it the fault of the groups who lobbied against nuclear power? UCS, Greenpeace, etc..... - - - - the same groups who now lead the AGW charge?

  1. Pointing fingers and playing the blame game never helped solve any problems.  There were some legitimate safety concerns associated with some early nuclear energy plants, but we now live in the year 2008.

Can we make safe nuclear power plants now? Yes. Is there enough fuel, using existing nuclear technology, to meet our needs? No. But there are promising breakthroughs occurring that could deliver vast amounts of safe nuclear energy and they should be pursued aggressively.

  2. The environazis like Ken, Bob and Dana of course, and yes I will point fingers at the ones who have been blathering nonsense in the hopes of reducing my standard of living based on nothing more than B.S. and claptrap!!

  3. They are to blame and knowing that it takes about 10 years to get a nuclear power plant working, they may have screwed us into higher energy costs.  I like to laugh at older (80's and early 90's) movies where they show a dog with two tails wagging, a man with 6 fingers, etc because of nuclear power plants.  Now they claim the world needs nuclear reactors to stop global warming.  Same old song and dance with these alarmists.

  4. nobody, nuclear could not compete with oil prices back then, and too many were being built for an energy capacity that was not needed.

(i am very pro nuclear by the way)
