Assuming the world didn't end within the next 20,000 years...?

...then what would I expect to see if I were here in 17,000 years time?

During the last 110 years mankind has gone from walking speed to supersonic flight to interplanetary probes.  Women and minorities now vote.  Most major diseases are now cured, but new diseases such as AIDS and ebola have come about.  Literacy is at record levels, and single-parent families are more common than ever.  More people than ever are getting college educations, but there are fewer jobs for educated people.  There are too many changes to list.

    Multiply all that change by 170 and that's what you will see.


  2. All of the basic landforms will still be here and not changed very much.  The oceans will still be here.  Bacteria will still be here.

    If you did not pay your 2007 taxes, the penalty will be astronomical in 17,000 years.
