  1. I flew with Virgin atlantic a couple of weeks ago and took my asthma inhaler with me in my hand luggage. I was travelling with my college and they told me to get a doctors note or a prescription to show to security at the airport. I got a docs note, but in the end I wasn't asked to show it :) Its probably best to have one or the other with you though, just in case. Btw, if you  get a doctors note they charge you about £15, so a prescription is probably cheaper :)

P.S. its mainly the fact that it is a liquid in a pressurized container (and so needs to go into the "liquids" plastic bags) that is a problem, not the fact its like a drug or anything :)

  2. you shouldnt need your prescription.

its a medical device...it will go through the X-Ray. they may take a second look at it but you should be fine.

    enjoy your trip

  3. you will need to contact the airport and the virgin check in at the airport as i believe you should be OK with them but they may need to be checked first

    hope this helps
