  1. Always try to avoid the allergens. You should go through this book if you get time.It will definitely help you

    Good luck

  2. Steam always makes it worse for me. Relaxing is the most important thing and i find it helps to listen to music as i fall asleep so i can't hear my breathing and make sure the space round your head is clear of dust and use very clean pillow case and a new pillow if you can.

  3. Reducing your refined sugar intake as in chocolate, icecream, desserts, cakes and other sweet foods and drinks that are loaded with white sugar or table sugar might perhaps help as sugar can cause asthma.  See items 26 and 140 in http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm .

  4. If you have asthma like I do. a inhaler is a must. Some drug stores let you have meds (like Wal Mart) for $4.00. Check in your area and see what's available. The wheezing is because of restricted airways. A doctor needs to evaluate if this is whats causing your breathing problems. Asthma is caused  by some thing that irritates you. When is it worse?Animal dander, dust mites, grass are only a few things that can cause asthma induced wheezing. Also a upper respiratory infection can cause wheezing. To help you breath better for now, close your mouth and inhale deep till you feel  it in your stomach muscles. Next form your mouth like a cheerio and slowly exhale. Good luck and God bless

  5. I am a bit skeptical on the steam notion. Since you are already wheezing, the liquid that is entering your lungs may not be good. I would suggest to get more clean oxygen. You could simply breathe in cooler air that would have less pollutants or seek medical attention and ask to breath a higher concentrate of oxygen.

  6. go to the doc, mate

  7. Try taking a hot shower, the steam seems to help me.

  8. Try a variety of breathing exercises.

  9. My friends who tried my herbal drink recovered from their asthma and diabetes problems. It has made my mother-in-law recover from her arthritis.  It is like a cure-all for many ailments.   It is comprised of 5 power herbs.  The most powerful herb, moringa, is even known to cure cancer.  Search the web for Moringa and you’ll know what I mean.

If you try drinking it as well, you will not need your inhaler for long.  My friend who suffers asthma recovered only after a few days of drinking it.

  10. Take a hot shower.  It helps me.

  11. i have my kids sit in the bathroom with the door closed and run a hot shower until the room fills up with steam. it seems to help them and my mom used this with me and my sisters

  12. use singulair, more about this pill at http://buy-generic-pills.com/singulair.h...

  13. well i don't know i'm sorry

i just took a sleeping pill

taking a shower actually made my asthma worse

  14. Try drinking soda during the day. Caffeine has been proven to relieve asthma symptoms. Also focus on your breathing. Take slow deliberate deep breaths. You may need some other types of medication. Inhalers should only be used for emergency relief. I would talk to a doctor about getting some additional treatment. Also to help you sleep try sleeping in an elevated position. Use several pillows or even sleep in a recliner.

  15. Try using a humidifier.  You can use it overnight and you don't have to stay in the bathroom for a steam.  I use a humidifier for my asthma when it gets bad.

  16. I have asthma as well and I remember a few times when I had an "attack" without my inhaler anywhere to be found.  What I have found that works the best to open your bronchial tubes is - put some ice in a glass, and put your face over it so that you are breathing in the cool air.  Many times while I'm getting it ready, I will even put my head kind of in the freezer so that I start breathing the cool air more quickly.  It helps and opens things up so that you can breath easier and will stop the wheezing.  Good luck and go to the doctor for an inhaler as soon as possible!  That's always the best help!

  17. drink cold water slowly and take deep breaths in.

  18. Take a hot shower and suck on menthol cough drops. I also drink cold water. Good Luck! Feel Better.

  19. i never had asthma until i moved into a apt that has black mold and the tenants next door are chain smokers.its called allergy induced asthma.so if you stay away cigarette smoke, mold and other harmful chemicals for a month and so and still have problems.go to an allergy specialist.

  20. drinking something really hot helps me

  21. I have asthma, Steam makes me worse!

I use vicks vaporub ointment. My mom used to rub it on my cheast and back, and then I would take deep breaths and inhale the fumes. It would make it easyer for me to breath.

drink lots of water! When I have trouble breathing my thoat gets really dry and makes it harder to breath.

Hot or cold air will make breathing harder. And going in and out of hot weather and AC never helps. I would try and stay in the cooler enviroment

If you have your daily inhaler i would double up till you get the one you need or see your MD. Either why I would get your hands on an inhaler!

  22. steam could help...take a nice long hot bath see wat happens
