Aston Villa manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 McLeish revealed he was not certain whether his side would take on Chelsea youngster Josh McEachran on a loan move but admitted his admiration for the midfielder.
McLeish confirmed he was looking at a host of players for a possible move in the January transfer window and admitted McEachran was one of them. The Aston Villa boss has decided he’s in dire need of a midfielder and the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 youngster fits the bill.
It seems the Blues have finally decided to send the talented 18-year-old out on a loan move, for regular first team football. He has not been given much chance at Stamford Bridge, which is why he could be leaving Chelsea in the upcoming winter transfer window.
McLeish said in an interview:
“There is no movement at the moment.
We are thinking about trying to add to the squad and it is probably not fair for me to talk about players at other clubs while there is no business being done.”
The Aston Villa revealed he was aware the McEachran was one of Chelsea’s best young players and they might be hesitant in wanting to part ways with him. However, he was still hopeful they would reach an agreement with the Blues regarding McEachran.
He revealed:
“He (McEachran) is one of their hottest prospects. I think they are thinking about loaning him, yes.
At the start of the season they weren't, but the word is they are thinking about it. But I don't want to say yes about anything because I am juggling a few balls.”
While he began playing football with Garden City FC, he was recruited as a Chelsea player at the tender age of eight. Since then McEachran has been with the Blues, making his way to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787 in 2001 and staying there until 2010.
It was in 2010 that he went on to make his debut for the senior Chelsea squad. Since then he has made a total of 21 appearances in all competitions and has not yet managed to score any goals or provide an assists but remains a key player for Chelsea.
