Aston Villa director http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charles-c8808 Krulak takes blame for a dismal Premier League season: EPL news
Aston Villa director, Charles Krulak, has admitted that the board must take blame for the club’s dismal season. He stated that everybody should take the responsibility of the poor showing from the Birmingham-based club this season and should look to improve
on the mistakes made.
The Lions have had a disastrous season this term after an impressive sixth place finish last year under then manager, Martin O’Neill. The Villans have constantly been in the bottom-half of the Premier League table in danger of being relegated but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664
Houllier’s side have most certainly secured their place for another season in the top division after some good results recently.
Villa currently sit in 13th place with 41 points with three games to go until the end of the season.
Krulak claimed that there have been a few positives for the club this season and the campaign has been way below par and below expectations. He revealed that the fans had expected the team to do well this season but nothing went right. He added that the
board members should share the responsibility for the failure along with the team and the manager.
“This has been a very tough season and no one is happy about what has transpired. We had great expectations. We are not blaming our previous manager. I can point fingers all day long but that will not alter the facts,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The American insisted that everybody at the club, including the owner, understand their responsibility and are prepared to face the criticism. He said that the club will try their best to end the season on a high and make a stronger impact next season.
“Just like we are capable of taking accolades, we need to take the blame when things are going bad. I recognise my responsibility and accept it. Likewise, [chief executive] http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 [Faulkner] and [owner] Randy [Lerner] understand they cannot just accept the
kudos, they also must accept criticism,” he concluded.
Aston Villa have three fixtures left in the Premier League with two home games, against Wigan Athletic and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, and an away game against Arsenal.
