Gabriel Agbonlahor insists that Aston Villa is now brimming with confidence after enduring a successful week in which they managed two back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time in the 2010-11 season.

Aston Villa’s two consecutive victories in Premier League took the Villans to the 13th place in the standings.
Gabriel Agbonlahor, who scored his first goal of the season against Wigan Athletic recently, claimed that the mood in Aston Villa camp is positive.
Agbonlahor said, “With the formation the manager wants to play, everyone is playing different positions. People may not be happy with where they are playing but the team comes first. With the way we are getting the results now nobody is moaning, everybody
is playing where they are told.”
The 24-year-old English striker insisted that his team’s next aim is to get into the top half of the table but also admitted that other teams are only one win away from overtaking them in the table.
Aston Villa finished sixth in last three seasons in the Barclays Premier League and Gabriel Agbonlahor insists that their aim is to finish at least in the top half of the season.
Agbonlahor also admitted that Aston Villa’s recent signing, Darren Bent, had extraordinary impact on the team since his arrival from Sunderland.
Bent scored his debut goal for Aston Villa against Manchester City but the English striker failed to find net at DW Stadium even though two golden chances were presented to him.
However, Agbonlahor hailed Bent’s overall role at Villa Park and insisted that the Englishman’s arrival have infused camp with fresh belief.
Agbonlahor continued, “You can say it has made a difference. Competition for places is a major key, so that is helping, and we were due that bit of luck - with the first goal dropping to me as it did, we were just due that.”
Aston Villa has a daunting task ahead of them in the Barclays Premier League as the Villans will visit Old Trafford for their next league match.
