Midlands club Aston Villa have completed the loan signing of Tottenham Hotspur full back Kyle Walker, who would be with Villa until the end of the current season.
The Englishman has passed the medical and all the formalities have been taken care of. Everyone was delighted to have the promising youngster at Villa. Kyle would be up for selection for Villa’s 3rd round tie against
Sheffield United, in the FA Cup, which, coincidently, is Walker’s former club.
The 20-year-old full back was delighted to come to Villa Park, stating that getting some playing time under his belt would get him to greater heights as a player. The right back added that he was delighted to be part of the Premier
League experience and it was because of his talent that Tottenham bought him from Sheffield United. Walker vowed to make the most of his opportunities at the Midlands club and looked forward to contribute, compete and contend in his six months here.
"This is a great opportunity for me and I'm looking forward to taking it. I know several of the players here from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marc-Albrighton-c23470. I'm sure those lads
will help me to settle in and enjoy my time at Villa,” stated the youngster.
Aston Villa boss http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664 Houllier was also delighted to have the youngster at the club and stated that despite being a 20-year-old, Walker possesses great amounts of talent. Therefore, signing up the player has bolstered Villa in
the defence and the manager is hoping the player does well in training as well as in league matches.
The 5’10” defender has spent most of his time on loan to clubs likes Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 and Northampton town, but he would benefit from this loan term most. Houllier has a habit of playing talents like Walker. It is likely that
Walker may get the nod to face his former club Sheffield United. Walker is a product of Sheffield United's youth academy and he has spent more than 10 years with the club before transferring to Tottenham in 2009.
