Aston Villa vs Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385: Villa outscore Rovers four goals to one - Premier League match report
Aston Villa played host to Blackburn at Villa Park this Saturday. Villa ended the game after putting four goals past Blackburn, while conceding only one in the process. The goals were scored by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stewart-Downing-c34221, while an own goal from Hanley
completed the four goals scored by Villa. On the other hand Kalinic managed to score a consolation goal for the visitors.
The match kicked off with Villa displaying some fine attacking football. The home-side seemed to be really feeling the force on the night and were testing the Blackburn backline almost every other minute.  From the very first minute of the game, one player
who seemed to be in outstanding form was, Ashley Young. The forward was captaining the side in the game and was really displaying his brilliance.
Nonetheless, despite all their early threats, Villa couldn’t seem to find the back of the net in the opening forty five. With both the managers having almost completely different speeches prepared for their teams at the break, things were sure to heat up
once the match restarted.
In the second half, things took a turn for the worst for Blackburn. Villa seemed to start running a riot on the pitch and they soon started to turn all their pressure into goals.
In the 51st minute Andrews tugged down Young in the Blackburn area. As a result the referee pointed straight to the spot. Young stepped up to take the resulting kick and thumped the ball into the back of the net.
Ten minutes later it was two goals to nil in favour of Villa. Albrighton charged down the flank and curled in a lethal delivery. The ball then managed to come off Hanley, a Blackburn player, and land in the back of the net in the 61st minute.
Just a minute was all it took for Villa to make it three goals to nil. Stuart Downing made a surging run all the way from the halfway line and then went on to superbly tuck his well placed shot into the back of the net in the 63rd minute.
Then in the 79th minute, Klainic tried to rescue something from the game for the visitors. His cracker of a shot took a wicked deflection, before finding the goal to get a point back for Blackburn. However, just a minute later Young received a
pass from Downing near the Blackburn area. Young then went on to curl a fine effort past the goalie to put the game to rest.
Things ended at an all time low for Blackburn as Nelsen picked up a second yellow card in stoppage time and was given his marching orders in the 92nd minute. This of course meant that the defender would now be missing for Blackburn’s next game.
