i recently bought the above car from a dealer, with not much service history.
someone said i should get the cambelt changed, since i have no idea when this was last done.
it has done 66k had may have had a new cambelt 15k ago.
the thing is, my engine is 8v and i was told this will not wreck the engine if the timing belt breaks, i would judt need to fit a new one when that happens.
also, vuaxhall changed the time between replacing the cambelt from 80k to 40k for all their cars, but they did this mainly becaue the twin cam cars were breaking cambelts at this mileage.
so i don't want to have this work done for no reason. £200 with new waterpump.
any help would be appreciated.
