Question:

Astral Projection Techniques?

Hello,

I've been trying to attempt astral projection off and on for a year now without much success. I can always get to the fully relaxed stage where I can't feel my body--but then I get frustrated because nothing happens and roll over and go to sleep. If I lay there long enough without moving or letting my thoughts stray, will anything actually happen? I feel as though my mind is too awake for my body to fall asleep, in a sense.

Also, the one time I ever got close to projecting was when I was doing relaxation exercises and listening to one of those brainwave technology CDs that are supposed to induce theta waves--I got frightened at the floating, though, and immediately cut off the experience.

So, the two questions I have: what are some good techniques for those of us not-so-skilled at visualization and are there any really good audio tracks out there that actually work (I forgot the name of the one I was using at the time)?

  1. Astral projection is nothing more than lucid dreaming.  You aren't really flying anywhere.  You're just dreaming of the journey.  Knowing this should allow you to relax enough to let go and enjoy the experience.

Music can help you relax, but it can't create theta waves.

  2. i cant answer the second one... but for the first.. the daydreaming technique is another way to visualize.

  3. lay on your back.  works for me all the time, even when i dont want it to!

  4. if you can roll over then your energy body is still connected to your physical body. you need to get to a state where you can't move your  body. then from your energy body, you need to project one more time to get to astral realm.

you are suppose to be fully conscious while your body is asleep. otherwise you won't be aware or remember anything. it's great that you conscious while your body is asleep.

you are suppose to float. there is no gravity once you are in energy body and beyond. if you feel like you are walking, you still not use flying in ethereal form. you are just restricting yourself to residual physical construct/memory in your mind from being accustomed to limitation of the physical dimension. just be careful not to attempt flying while you are in physical form because it can be hard to differentiate the two forms. it may take time as it's like learning how to "walk" again.

robert bruce use tacile imaging method which is a non-visual method. i believe you might be able to find his audio CD on amazon.

  5. I feel very sorry for you; I have this exact same thing happen to me, and I don't really know what to do either. The only time I've come really even slightly close is when I was listening to white noise. I would suggest that. It's a bit hard to get used to at first but it does help at least a bit.

I don't have much time now, so I haven't tried astral projecting recently, but if I were you I'd look up a bunch of different sites on astral projecting and see what tips they give. I would also try attempting to astral project at different times of day. Your mind might be too tired to travel at night so you might want to try around noon or an hour or two after you wake up- just make sure the room you're in is dark enough.

    Hope this has helped!

  6. follow the link this will make it work

  7. I have been projecting for years so sometimes I just do it automatically bacause I can now sense the point where I know that I can come out.  Now I just step out.

But when I started,  the easiest way for me was to roll out.  I think when you roll out,  It kinda loosens your etheric body so that its easier to come out.

Watch yourself as you fall asleep ( keep your mind awake while your body falls asleep ).   What I do is I check myself as I go into the deeper levels of sleep and keep my consciousnees awake as my body falls asleep.  I see if I can talk...if I cant I go deeper into sleep/trance to the point where I am able to talk.  then I roll out.

    check this website (my favorite)

look through the "out of body questions" section for techniques.

    good luck

  8. astral projection  compared  to Astro soul is miniscule. astral is around 15 klm out. Astro is universe. A psycologist may be able to help with the astral  they have very good techniques. If you want the real meat so to speak do astro soul group work. See without eyes hear without ears feel without your phsical body and really go places.

  9. I suggest you try and contact your spirit guide and let him or her guide you through the experience. That is what I did and it has worked well for me. I use to try like you and the few times I got close it scared me and I never succeeded. After contacting my spirit guide she guided me through and I was no longer scared and let me tell it is amazing.

  10. There is no such thing as astral projection.  The fact that you have been trying for a year and admit that you can't do it shows that.  Clearly you are an intelligent, lucid and honest person; it would be easy to let your mind wander and make something up.  Use your intellegence in a better way............ study science!!!!!
