How about if you were given by the latitude and longitude of a certain place,and you have seen a star from that place with a certain Altitude and Azimuth..how can you find the Alt-Az of that star if your at your place?

any suggestions on what formula is to be used to solve this problem...

  1. I would first plot a 'RA and Declination' for that star,then it could be found irrespective of location


  2. All you need is the difference between the latitudes and longitudes.
