Question

My sun sign is Taurus and my ascendant sign is Capricorn, does that make me a pseudo-Capricorn? Do I have the qualities of a Capricorn? And which is more profound in affecting my personality, the sun sign or ascendant sign? Thanks. Also, it does not make sense that you are something on the inside (Taurus) while you appear to others differently (Capricorn). You must, therefore, contain elements of the ascendant sign, too. If not, would you guys explain to me thoroughly?

Your Sun Sign is your individuality, your ego your powerhouse internally. The Ascendant or rising shows relates to how people see you and how you decide to show yourself. It is a "Mask" that you put on sort of speak.

Taurus are fixed , stubborn, and hate changes but, with Capricorn rising, it adds to your perseverence since Capricorn is an earth sign as well. This makes you more grounded and more practical. You may be inclined to melancholy because of Capricorn rising and appear too serious and older than you look.

You have very good self-control, good useful worker, and can persue your end in the face of many obstacles. Taurus is more settled, and quiet but Capricorn will give you an urge for power, determination, and enable you to do whatever you set your mind on. You don't make friends easily but your aever so faithful for the chosen one.

Saturn is ruler of your rising sign so you may at times lack in cheerfulness and not easily sociable . You love money and hard work and very career-minded.

Final thought, Cancer is in your 7th house and solid relationships are seen as essential to a stable position in society. You want a partner who will provide firm foundations to build. Emotional security will be of utmost importantce. I also have Capricorn rising. I am a Libra, a social air sign, but I am not this way upon meeting me. The person you will see is quiet and a loner. My sister is a Leo with a Libra rising sign, and I can tell the difference when you compare us and how we behave. You really have to learn to observe and listen to the feedback you get from others about yourself. Based on what others tell me, and mind you, I never ask for opinions, its always similar to the characteristics of a Capricorn rising. I have always wondered why I never acted like a typical Libra. In some aspects I am, in others I'm not. But, you're a Taurus, already an earth sign, so in some respect, there are already qualities in you that are similar to a Capricorn naturally. Thus, you might not notice much difference, as I do.
