  1. Osiris in the constellation Pegasus

edit star name is HD 209458

  2. My favourite star would be Saiph in Orion. The other three stars of Betelgeuse, Bellatrix and Rigel forming the main body of Orion the Giant constellation are more commonly known and their derivation of their names from the Arabic----but not Saiph--as far as I know, nobody knows the origin of this name. My favourite constelllation would be Cassiopoeia, the Ethiopian Queen--the rocking chair asterism--such an old and beautiful history to this inverted M or W opposite the Big Dipper in the northern sky. What a sight on a summer night!

  3. My favorite star, apart from the sun, is actually two stars.  It's Alberio in the constellation Cygnus.  It looks like a single star to the naked eye but with a telescope you will see that it is actually a binary star system, one star is orange and the other is blue.

My favorite constellation is Sagittarius, especially the teapot region.  There is so many star clusters there that it is just amazing to scan the area with a telescope at a low power and a wide field of view.  It really puts things into perspective when you are looking at thousands of stars in just one small area of the sky

  4. I like looking at Antares and Scorpius. The name of that star means "rival of Mars" and it's easy to see why. Unlike most constellations, Scorpius really does resemble the creature it suggests. Once you've learned to recognize it, you'll never forget it.

  5. I have ties, basically massive stars that are extremely likely to explode soon

eta carinae is my favorite star due to its sheer mass, and likeliness to explode, I am also a Betelgeuse fan as its likely to explode but will be close enough to observe in great detail, the pistol star is the hugest star that i know of in the milky way.

But my all time favorite star is Sagittarius A*, its the super-massive-black-hole in the center of our galaxy I like it due to its mysteriousness, no one really knows much about it. I also like it due to the fact that it keeps us from hurdling into another star.

As for constellations i like Orion, due to the major diversity of stars and nebulae
