  1. All of Eistein's work on 'Genral relativity' deals with this one aspect. You can search the web for his 'General relativity', 'Field equations' and his use of Tensors and so on.

Then came the 4D geometry and 'String theory' much later which you can idnore for the present.

  2. http://www.dm.uniba.it/~psiche/bas2/node...

    http://homepage.ntlworld.com/stone-caten...

    http://www.geometryalgorithms.com/histor...

    Hope these websites help! =)

  3. No, because I don't believe in mathematics as far as making them mandatory classes to take in school. I mean who cares what  x  equals? It's just puzzles with letters or numbers... "What is the purpose of all this math in the long run"? I once asked my math teacher. His reply was " It helps you solve life's problems,"

Well then, give me real life problems/scenarios to practice/solve because I'm gaining nothing from (and still haven't used with my degree) any math equations to solve any of life/work related problems.

Math is pointless and dumb and shouldn't be mandatory unless you are going into a specific field of study where math is required...Sorry I didn't answer your question with all of my OPINIONS....but math/geometry seems silly
