With Oswalt on the DL bringing in another decent pitcher to eat up innings to save the bullpen is not a bad idea.

  1. That wouldn't be too bad for the Astros. Of course I'm speaking out of bias because I'm a huge fan of the Astros. Anything to get them into the playoffs.

  2. thank god

    please take randy wolf away

we'll pay you to take him away

  3. Too bad the Yankees got to such gems like Sidney Ponson and Eric Milton first huh.

Have them ask about AJ Burnett.

    He's available.....

  4. Terrible move for a team that will not get a sniff of the playoffs with the Brewers and Cubs.

  5. That trade won't help any.

  6. Randy Wolf sucks

  7. if the astros really want a dead arm, then fine..wolf has been a disappointment the last few years, and the astros are what 12 games out of first place?? i guess you can try anything to get those few more wins

  8. hahah why give up any prospects or anyone for Wolf?? he is terrible, although he is usually a second half pitcher, but I dont see that this year.  Why would houston want him? you guys dont have a chance at overcoming 2 of the 3 teams in the central to get a wild card spot.  start planning for '09 and the draft

  9. why would anybody be serious about randy wolf

  10. Good idea but not significant enough to turn the season around for the Astros.

  11. This probably won't happen. Although Ed Wade seems to ignore home/road splits (see Kaz Matsui), Wolf has a 6.63 ERA away from Petco Park this year, with a WHIP of nearly 2.

You also must consider that the Astros don't really have anything to trade. The Padres want prospects and the Astros have arguably the worst farm system in baseball.
