Astros shortstop Jed Lowrie glad to spend Christmas with family – MLB Update
Houston Astros shortstop Jed Lowrie is very happy to spend Christmas holiday season with family. His wife Milessa Muchmore-Lowrie travels with him and they both try to meet as many their relatives as possible.
The Houston baseball star Lowrie has recently married and now exploring new places of interest along with meeting important close friends and relatives. Some reporters lately interviewed him and asked couple of questions related to his past time activities.
"I remember getting a big, red plastic baseball bat and I started playing baseball at 4 or 5 years old, and I remember getting that and going out in the front yard and playing with my dad," Jed said.
“We always like to come home and spend Christmas with family, My dad's family is from Oregon my mom's family is from Minnesota, so as a kid we would spend one Christmas in Oregon and the next one in Minnesota and alternate, Being in the valley in Oregon,
we barely got snow on Christmas, maybe a couple of times growing up is all," said Lowrie, who along with his wife are raising a miniature Australian shepherd named Wylie.
Along with his plans to spend holiday season, Lowrie also told some reporters about the new season where he will be going with more thrust. Last season too, his performance was quite thrilling. He did a wonderful job in the field and showed consistency in
his performances.
He achieved .244 hitting average along with 16 home runs, 42 RBIs and .331 OBP and earned appreciation from many within the Astros roster. Many League’s experts also praised his performance.
Lowrie currently holds a career hitting average of .250 along with 35 home runs 159 RBIs and .326. Experts believe that the way he is performing in the Majors will benefit the Houston Astros in the long run.
Along with Lowrie, the Astros also have some fine hitters in the roster who will be giving them stability in the near future as well. Third baseman Matt Dominguez also showed consistent performance in the last Major League season and achieved .284 hitting
average along with five homers, 16 homers and .310 OBP.
