Question:

Astros...winners, but losers?

Leave it to The hard luck Astros. The last 15 games they have turned it up as they are known to do in the fight for the WC, but despite all their winning, they havent gained a single game, thanks to The Brewers winning ways since losing to The Cubs. Sad thing is Houston still is 8.5 back, with 42 games left. Still time, but with their current winning streak being matched by WC leader Milwaukee, and with Carlos Lee out, time is running our for Houston, or is it? Do you think they can still continue winning and make a run for it? Their pitching has certainly stepped it up, but can it hold on? Your thoughts?

  1. I don't see them getting the WC. The brewers are back to winning again even without Braun in the line up. They have what I consider to be an easy or manageable schedule for them and should win majority of the series. If they do have a slip up, I think the Cards still have a better chance at the WC than the astros. They could suprise a lot of people and be right back in the WC race but with the way the Brewers are playing now, I think the chances are slim.

  2. I don't think they will win the WC. The players have stepped it up, but the Brewers have stepped it up a whole nether level. I think the Brewers will take the WC by 1 or 2 games over the Astros. They are a good team, but they aren't as good as the Brewers.

  3. totally agree, i was just gonna post a similar question. clearly one of the hottest teams in baseball the last month. i think they will continue to win but unfortunately for them its too little too late with the brewers looking like they are gonna get the spot. if the brewers dont get it, it looks unlikely they wont then the cards or one of  the nl east will probably get it over the astros
