Asvab scoring question

Question

i'm a little confused on the asvab. i took the three practice tests on military.com but it didn't break down and give me an actual score... just percentage of correct responses.

i'm wondering if someone with experience can break these down and kinda show me what they mean and if possible what my rough score would be. thanks.

General Science: 64, 68, 72,

Arithmetic Reasoning: 83, 90, 92,

Word Knowledge: 83, 85, 87,

Paragraph Comprehension: 100, 100, 100,

Auto Shop Knowledge: 56, 68, 59,

Mathmatical Knowledge: 72, 72, 74,

Mechanical Comprehension: 28, 36, 34,

Electronics Information: 55, 50, 52,

obviously i wouldn't make a good mechanic but if i understand correct not all these are used to configure your score...

correct? no? please shed some light on this for me...

Your scores you listed doesn't make any sense to me.  What are all those additional numbers?

If you want to know your Armed Forces Qualification Test score and not your ASVAB score, this will give you your percentile, which the score ranges between 0-99, calculate this:

AR + MK + (2 x VE). The VE (verbal) score is determined by adding the raw scores from the PC and WK tests

General Science (GS)

Arithmetic Reasoning (AR)

Word Knowledge (WK)

Paragraph Comprehension (PC)

Auto and Shop Information (AS)

Mathematics Knowledge (MK)

Mechanical Comprehension (MC)

Electronics Information (EI)

--Sum of Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension (VE)--

NOTE:  This is the ASVAB Scores, not the AFQT, which you seek.  Then whatever MOS you choose, it will have to be according to this:

CL - Clerical: VE+AR+MK

CO - Combat: VE+CS+AS+MC

EL - Electronics: GS+AR+MK+MC

FA - Field Artillery: AR+CS+MK+MC

GM - General Maintenance: GS+AS+MK+EI

GT - General Technical: VE+AR

MM - Mechanical Maintenance: NO+AS+MC+EI

OF - Operators and Food: VE+NO+AS+MC

SC - Surveillance and Communications: VE+AR+AS+MC

ST - Skilled Technical: GS+VE+MK+MC

ADDT'L NOTE:  You are going have to configure it your self!

Idk I do know when I took the asvab i didn't have all of those on there and that was a few months ago.I think different branches go by different scores it seems like you did very well despite the mechanical .
