Question:

Asylum Seekers in UK?

This is no way against asylum seekers as everyone needs to be offered a safe refuge in times of crisis but: It seems it recent years those who come here seeking asylum, from whatever h**l is happening in their homeland, do not return home once the conflict / troubles are over and our immigration service seems all to happy at handing our passports. Do you agree that these people have a duty to their homeland to help rebuild it once danger has passed and also to vacate this country to make way for the next batch of people in trouble as we can only support a finite number of them.

  1. All of the non-whites need to go back. I don't care why they're (ostensibly) here.

  2. In recent studies it's been proven that approximately  98% of 'asylum' seekers are economic migrants. These people are the problem and all should be returned to wherever they originally came from.

  3. The reason they don't get is the reason that those who travel across Europe or from wherever in hellish conditions en route to the UK, who pass a number of EU countries where they would also be safe but continue on to here. The reason is they know once they set foot on this Island, that's it, they will never be deported. Even if they lose their appeal for asylum. The whole system needs to be overhauled, once you have lost your appeal you should be deported, and once your country is safe you should go back.

  4. Which countries in particular are you thinking about?

That is, which countries have suffered h**l in the recent past and are now completely safe for repatriation?

  5. I agree that once danger has passed, the asylum seekers should return home. Asylum is about having someplace safe to live during a time of trouble, not because you just want to live someplace else. Only by returning home can the country rebuild itself and I think they have a duty to do that.

  6. The problem is the system, if you came to england from an impoverished or war torn country would you want to go home?  Free housing, better paid jobs, benefits payable etc.  We create a rod for our own back.  I know the polish people are not 'Asylum Seekers' but some have started returning home, earning a good crust whilst here, working there butts off, and going home to help there families.  That I agree with.

  7. I think its about time our Government started putting 'us' first. Charity & compassion are fine but when our country is on its knees & getting worse why are we still letting people in. When a lot of them do get here they will not integrate & many of them openly declare hatred of the West & Great Britain.

  8. Asylum seekers make up a tiny proportion of those people who make it to our shores - the vast, vast majority of immigrants come here to work or to study.

I agree with you that those whose home countries resolve their internal issues in the long term should really go back, but the majority of asylum seekers come from Iran, Somalia, China, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Sudan, Zimbabwe, or other countries, which show no sign of sorting themselves out any time soon.  If they were made to go home they'd likely face death.

  9. Many are economic refugees and some places will always be poor due to the corruption of the leaders.

Do they have an obligation to go back and starve.

Besides, if the become honorary Brits where are they gonna get bangers and half and halfs, eh?

  10. They should all be repatriated back to their homeland.

We as a country are now in a situation where we cannot look after our own but bend over backwards for these people that have no intention of integrating, working or contributing to our society.

  11. Yes.  If it is safe for them to go home and fix things, they should.  If however, they decide to stay in their host nation, they need to adapt to the host nation's customs and ways of life.  If they should do anything to offend the customs or make threats to the inhabitants of the host nation, they should be removed immediately regardless of the situation in their home nation.  This is my opinion.

  12. yep as soon as their country is safe they should be sent back after all they are no longer in any danger and therefore aren't refugees and if they go back genuine refugees could be allowed into the country
