  1. no not even if you are full term. i tried this with my second because i went to nursing school so i had one and it doesnt work. they do have the dopplers in stores you can get that does

  2. nope. might be able to hear it on doppler though

  3. No, you have to be well into your 3rd trimester to hear the baby;s heartbeat with a standard stethoscope.  You should be able to hear your baby with a hospital grade fetal doppler though.  You can rent them at bellybeats.com.

I actually bought one and absolutely LOVED it

  4. No the docs have to use a special doppler to hear the heartbeat. It usually isn't until the 3rd trimester that the heartbeat can be heard with a stethoscope.

  5. nope, they MAY just be able to hear it with the doppler

  6. Nope its a little too soon!

  7. Nope, a stethoscope doesn't pick up the heartbeat at all.  Sometimes you get lucky and a doppler picks it up around 10 weeks but sometimes it is longer than that before they get to hear it .

  8. Nope

  9. I would think so. You can hear al sorts of things with that tool. I just read that you can at 4 months!!

  10. Well my doctor said is is possible after about 30 weeks. however what he did say is that it would take forever to find the heart beat if you even would be able to. You can by a cheep Doppler at the store for like 25 dollars. They only work after about 25 weeks though to get a good heart beat.

  11. No, the doctors never check using a stethoscope.  If they could, then the doctors would be using the stethoscope rather than the much more expensive doppler.

  12. No, baby is too small !

  13. nope too early they can hear it with a doppler usually around 10-12 weeks, after 20 weeks they can hear baby's heartbeat with a stethoscope, but normally they still stick with the doppler b/c most of them give out a heart rate, at least the one at my doctors does
