At 19, would you visit montreal or victoira?

my best friend and i are both going to be 19 when visiting canada, we would like to shop, and go out and party. would you consider montreal to be a better place for two young girls to visit? we would like to travel any time between mid june and mid august. please help!!! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (sights, shops, clubs, etc) thank you!

I grew up in Montreal so I know the city like the palm of my hand, so to speak.

Although I have been to Victoria BC, it was only briefly as a tourist and it was almost twenty years ago too (1989)!

So naturally, I would recommend Montreal!

How about Vancouver BC instead?

I've been there too of course and it's one beautiful city - I  guarantee you!

Montreal for sure!

Shopping is amazing, and most importantly you can walk everywhere very easily. Montreal has all of the chain stores, however there are so many amazing little boutiques everywhere.

The weather at that time will be very warm, and every week brings a new festival to the city. There's grand prix weekend, sidewalk sale weekend on St Laurent, jazz festival, and so on. So much going on and so much partying!

I would suggest going the week of the St Laurent sidewalk sales, as there will not be too many tourists, however the street will be closed off, meaning that all of the bars and restaurants will extend onto the street. (St Laurent is the main street with bars/clubs). I'm not sure what type of party scene you are interested in, but there is definitely something for everybody.

If you want to go to a pool while you are there, check out the pool at Hotel de la Montagne downtown. All you have to do is buy a drink at the bar, and the pool is yours to use. Get there early though, as it fills up very quickly.

At 19, I would definitely take Montreal over Victoria.  Sure, Victoria is beautiful, but the most exciting thing going is tea time.

I'm only 15 but I'm from Montreal, though I don't live there, I've gone there since I was little and all my cousins and stuff live there and go party all the time. There are many clubs. It's soooooooo pretty, too
