  1. Well deff one Wimbledon and i'm sure it was his 5th or 6th grand slam!

  2. Is this a rhetorical question?

In 2004, Roger Federer had one of the most dominating and successful years in the open era of modern men's tennis.[27] He won three of the four Grand Slam singles tournaments, did not lose a match to anyone ranked in the top ten, and won every final he reached. He won his first Australian Open title by defeating Marat Safin in straight sets. This win helped him succeed Andy Roddick as the World No. 1, a ranking which he has maintained as of July 2008. He successfully defended his Wimbledon title by defeating Andy Roddick, and won his first US Open title by defeating Lleyton Hewitt. Federer entered the 2004 Athens Olympics as one of the favorites but had his Olympic dream ended, being defeated in the Round of 32 against Tomáš Berdych 4–6, 7–5, 7–5. Federer went on to finish the year by taking the Tennis Masters Cup at Houston for the second consecutive year, defeating Hewitt in the final. Federer's only Grand Slam loss of the year was at the French Open, where he lost to former world number one and 3-time French Open champion Gustavo Kuerten in straight sets. His win–loss record for the year was 74–6 with 11 titles. Federer was named the ITF Tennis World Champion[28] and Laureus World Sportsman of the Year in 2005.[29]. He also won the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year again in 2006 through 2008. Throughout 2004, Federer did not have a coach, relying instead on his fitness trainer Pierre Paganini, physiotherapist Pavel Kovac, and a management team composed of his parents, his girlfriend and manager Mirka Vavrinec, and a few friends.[30] In 2005, Federer hired former Australian tennis player Tony Roche to coach him on a limited basis.[31]

Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Sure, I think Nadal can be #1, however I don't see him being a dominating as Roger Federer.

  3. I like both Federer and Nadal ... and also Djokovic. I am a tennis fan more than a player fan.

Anyway, I think comparisons at age 22 are unfair because different players peak at different ages. Borg started winning grandslams as a teenager. Becker won Wimbledon at 17. But Borg retired at 26 and Becker only won 1 grandslam after age 21. Becker had 5 at age 21, yet he only ended up with 6.

It's very difficult to say how many Nadal will have. I'm willing to predict as much as 10. Honestly I don't see him going past Federer's 12+. But this guy does have a way of surprising you. Whenever we make predictions, we always tend to overestimate. One year ago, people thought Federer would end up with 20 grandslams. Sampras predicted 17. How many people still believe that?

  4. Precisely 3 Slams. Wimby at  age 21, and 22. Aussie Open at 22.

And his brilliant year 2004, US Open, but he turned 23 prior to his 1st US Open. So, Nadal won more than Roger at 22, barely 22. Nadal definitely will surpass FedEX.  VAMOS RAFA !!

  5. At 23 Nadal's knees gave out like two flat tires and he had to retire and flex the last of his muscles adjusting his knee braces.

Sorry, Nadal fans, I like Rafa, I'm just being sarcastic, so calm down.

  6. All players really start their careers at different ages, which also means that they may go down at different ages, so its hard to compare. Nadal plays a game that requires someone young and fit, whereas Federer plays a game that isn't extremely physically exerting but needs time to perfect. So although Nadal will win many more slams, his chances at passing Federer's record is slim because Nadal's playing style is so physically exhausting that by age 26, his body may give out on him, yet Federer may still be playing because his is not so strenuous.

  7. not a lot at least i dont think so

i really think nadal can beat 14 if he keeps this up and starts doing better on hard courts

  8. Federer at 22 won 4 Grand Slams and 6 Masters events (2 Masters cups)

Its so hard to answer your other question. The kind of game Federer plays is one that gets better with expierence,

Rafas game is much more physical dependent therefore he is at his peak now a 22. federer was at his peak at 24/25.

  9. I'm not the biggest Fed fan, but he is the man. You really can't compare Rafa as far slam titles. He would still need 7 more to catch Fed if Fed never played again.
