  1. Fireplace or maybe like a leak in the roof.

  2. if you have a fireplace they couldhave gotten in that way. Others hide out in the attics of houses.

  3. i would guess..... they flew in  gl

  4. do you have a fireplace?

  5. In my house, there was a small opening where the outer wall meets the roof, and there was a bat in there. The opening was really small, so if there is anything like that on your house that is a possibility.

It could also be the attic or chimney, but I don't think they stay too long in chimneys, so they would just fly down. I would go with attic or small opening, because this gives them shelter and access to the outdoors where their food source is.

  6. My kids, now 19 & 21 still talk about the night we had a bat in the house. Have absolutely no idea how it got in, yes have fireplace but with a good chimney cap.  Hubby turned every light in the house on and open all doors and it flew out eventually, while I spent that time locked in the bathroom reading a book!

  7. It could be from anywhere, bats can fit through very small spaces.  Nothing creepy about it, they won't hurt you.  They were just looking for some mosquitoes to eat and took a wrong turn.

Good for you guys for opening the doors and letting them out.  ;)
