  1. Of course not!! Too old to start a career in Football or Gymnastic's maybe (lol) but never something like this.

  2. Definitely not, I left work to have my kids then went back to college to do something I really wanted to do.  I did all of my Royal Horticultural Society exams and am now a Garden Designer and in my final year of a Degree in Garden Design and running my own business.  I am 40 next year and its the best thing I have ever done.  Go for it, I doubt you will regret it and along the way the will enjoy yourself and meet loads of new people who will become friends for life.

  3. No, never too late.    Colonel Sanders started his Kentucky Fried Chicken at the age of 65.   Does that tell you anything?    Go ahead and make a good career out of it.   I think it is a hard one, but very satisfying to see a beautiful lawn.   You have my vote!

  4. Nope, that's how old I was.  I started at a nursery and now I'm a full time owner of my own garden design company and doing pretty good.

I took a giant hit in pay, but my previous job made me miserable.  Totally worth it.

Start at a nursery to build your knowledge of the industry.  You will also make tons of contacts, plus you'll loose a few pounds (bonus).  You can make the nursery a career move or use it as a stepping stone like I did.

  5. not at all, its never too late to start anything unless youre dead

go visit your local college and find out about courses

  6. OMG, I was 45. I took the local master gardener course, enrolled in a community college, went on to a four year for my hort. degree and wish that I had started at 30. It's funny that there are so many 'older' people enrolled in hort and ag classes. You'll fit right in or maybe even be the youngster.

  7. No- Definitely not.  You are never too old, and at 30 I think you finally have a clue of what you really want to do - not at 16 !

  8. No! I think thats a good age to do it actually...

Plus, youre never really to old to do anything.

Unless you go through meta pause. Then you really CANT have a baby. :)

  9. No, you are never to old! Unless you desire to be a Olympian or Rocket pilot! And then---who knows! Someone would probably have the ability very late in life. Also, people garden into their 100's!

  10. You are never to old to start a new career.  I never went to college until I had three kids and was 34 years old.
