Today I had my pelvic exam and the doc tells me I'm 1cm dilated. Then when i got home there was blood and little clumps on my panties...and I've changed a couple of times and I'm still bleeding. I have cramping and feel a lot of pressure. What's going on? Is this normal?...Am I going into labor?

  1. You could be in the early stages of labor. Keep in mind it could take days though or it could go real fast. Good luck...

  2. the same thing happened to me on tuesday  I was in the hospital for contractions and I was treated for a UTI.They checked my cervix and I was 2cm dilated about 3 hours after I got home The was blood and it was red and it was kind of clumpy i think it was mixed with my mucus plug. after awhile it got pinkish and then browinsh and stopped. I hope it is a sign of labor! but it happened 4 days ago and I am still waiting. I am due in 7 days!good luck and congrats.

  3. It sounds like you've lost your mucous plug.  Also, the cramping, and pressure is the beginning of labour.  Good luck, and at this stage, you're ready.  Have your bags in the car, cell phone charged, and the camera ready (with charger in your bag).  Good luck!

  4. We certainly hope so!!!  Wait until you have contractions and time them--5 min or less and regular--go to the hospital.

Feel free to call your dr. anytime to get some answers on your case.  That's what you pay him for.

  5. hmm...when they checked my cervix they told me to expect some bleeding when i got home and not to freak out. But mine was just a pinkish color when i wiped. Call them and ask. Bleeding is a sign of labor and i have read that sometimes a cervical check can induce labor.

if i were you i'd call them asap.

  6. Dear I think you need to call  your doctor and have them see you as soon as they can..it sound like you could be in labor.CALL NOW.
